Hi, my name is Mary Lopresti. I’ve been vegetarian since childhood and vegan for nearly a decade. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley and noticed the vegan options were seriously lacking. Having worked in the food service industry for 18 years, I knew my way around the business. It was always a dream of mine to open my own 100% cruelty-free café.
I started VegOut as a pop-up vegan comfort food restaurant in December 2018. A few months later, I teamed up with Mike Clancey, The Seitanic Butcher, and we started a food truck called Vegan Voyagers that does events throughout the area. My food has been featured regularly in The Morning Call and other local news outlets, and my mac and cheese won an award at the Lehigh Valley Vegan s’MAC Down!
Now, I am happy to announce that VegOut will be moving into a new permanent location with an extended menu and full-time hours!
